Ino padeye

At last! The Ino-Padeye is online!

The Ino-Padeye, our latest innovation at Ino-Rope in collaboration with VMG Yacht Design, was awarded a special distinction at the DAME Design Awards during the professional METSTRADE show in the Netherlands at the end of last year. We are very proud to announce that it is now available in our e-shop!

What are the DAME Design Awards?

The Ino-Padeye took part in the world’s most important nautical equipment competition. Indeed, a panel of renowned naval architects, boat designers and expert users were the judges. That year, only two French companies were in line for the victory. One of which was Ino-Rope for the Ino-Padeye. Vive la France! What’s more, at the end of the competition, our padeye was awarded a special distinction for its conception and design.

Ino-Padeye in the spotlight:

After an initial collaboration with the Swiss architect firm VMG Yacht Design for the screwable low friction ring, we decided to continue with the Ino-Padeye. We wanted a padeye with elegant and fine lines. Also, we needed a padeye that was easy to install and safe on deck (especially for those barefoot sailors!). Thanks to VMG Yacht design’s expertise and our knowledge of modern ropes, we created a product that is both innovative and aesthetically-pleasing. The Ino Padeye is a product designed to be used with modern fibres. Indeed, it is not cumbersome thanks to its flat head and it’s easy to install whatever the width of the support. No additional screws or bolts are needed. Consequently, it can be set up without using a counter-plate or densification.
Essentially, the Ino Padeye is entirely made of high quality anodised aluminium. Water-resistant of course, it is easy to install thanks to its innovative reversible nuts. No need to adjust the length of screws. Here is a characteristic that should please professional users, from shipyards to boat builders. Furthermore, with less finishing and accessories (screws, nuts, washers, protections, and so on) the Ino-Padeye is even more easy on the eye.

What can I use it for?

It is ideal for mast foot blocks, spinnaker sheets, backstays, releasable stays, 3D sheet systems, multihull trampolines, but also for textile standing rigging. You can use it on decks and spars. The Ino Padeye is the missing link between textile connectors and the fixed points on the boat: decks or masts, with a lashing, soft shackle or loop. For now, the Ino Padeye is available in three sizes withstanding loads ranging from 800 to 3,000 kg (maximum working load). Take a look at the Ino Padeye available on the e-shop here!
