A technological challenge met for an exceptional vessel
Ino-Rope, expert in high-performance rigging solutions, is proud to have contributed to the development of a first prototype (demonstrator) launched in September 2021, an innovative vessel that pushes the boundaries of ecological navigation. Our mission: to design and manufacture custom heavy-duty blocks for the mainsail sheets, genoa, and backstay tackles of this giant of the seas.
An extraordinary vessel with demanding requirements
Silenseas boasts extraordinary features. Its giant sails, with a total area of approximately 1200 m² each (compared to 600 m² total for a 60-foot boat), require blocks of exceptional strength to maneuver them safely.
Bespoke expertise serving innovation
Ino-Rope met this challenge by adapting its existing low-friction block system to the specific workloads of Silenseas. With our expertise in designing and manufacturing bespoke solutions, we developed 5 heavy-duty blocks that meet the precise requirements of the project.
