Cladding of Electrical Pylons in Qatar
An aesthetic and technical challenge met
Ino-Rope, an expert in high-performance mooring and anchoring solutions, had the pleasure of collaborating with Aubrilam, a company specializing in urban development, for a unique project: cladding electrical pylons in Qatar. Our mission: to design and create an aesthetic and durable cladding that seamlessly integrates into the Qatari urban landscape.
Demanding specifications: achieving a “matte old rigging” effect..
Aubrilam wanted the electrical pylons to blend into the urban scenery with a “matte old rigging” style, both natural and traditional. The challenge was to find a material that is both aesthetically pleasing and resistant to Qatar’s extreme climatic conditions, especially intense heat and UV rays.
A customized solution: technical ropework and industry expertise
Ino-Rope selected a specific ropework that meets both the aesthetic and technical requirements of the project. This ropework, designed to withstand weather conditions, offers exceptional durability and a natural appearance perfectly suited to the desired “matte old rigging” effect.
Careful technical development: durable and reproducible cladding..
Beyond this material selection, Ino-Rope developed an installation system that ensures durable and easily reproducible cladding across all pylons. This system guarantees uniform aesthetics and optimal resistance to weathering.
Ino-Rope also provided training for Aubrilam’s installers, imparting the knowledge and techniques necessary for successful installation of the pylon cladding.
The results: aesthetic and technical success
The project to clad electrical pylons in Qatar is a true success. The “matte old rigging” effect desired by Aubrilam has been perfectly achieved, thanks to the combination of aesthetic and high-performance ropework and an ingenious installation system. The pylons now blend harmoniously blend into the Qatari urban landscape, adding a touch of authenticity and tradition to the modern environment.
